The new Danny Pro model

Danny takes the winn in the 1st round of the YMSA British and the 2nd club round, ridin in the new Lee Mill in Lancs in the rain Danny only droping a very low 19 marks, more in the full report later..

Danny does not normally run is this series but to try and give more coverage to his sponsors he’s out there this year,  a long travel down to Devon on Saturday night for a stay over before the next days comp then up to the Kelly farm trial on Sunday morning for a 10am start,

Not the best of runs on the first lap, with a good start on the first section for 0 points and then a big crash on the second section of the day, the bike collecting a puncture with in the crash and Danny 1 or 2 unwanted cuts and 5 unwanted points.

But on collecting him self too move on to complete the lap in 3^rd position on 14 marks and 1 mark adrift of team mate for Atomz bikes Ben Slinger on 13 marks ( former World bike trial champion )as you can see the 5 marks for the crash cost him in a big way !!.

On with lap 2 with the crash of lap 1 behind him Danny puts in a great ride to show his full level making the best lap of the trial by any rider 5 marks in total for this lap, giving the total of 19 marks total for the day, if only 2 laps of the 5 points the result would have been more in Danny’s favour.

The plus points for the event was a good start to this championship finishing second and team mate Ben Slinger making up 2 Atomzs bikes on the podium in this 1^st round, only just beaten by Ben Savage the former Masters World bike trial champion.

Danny and Ben made the jouney to France to see first hand all the works at the new factory of Atomz, on meeting with Titi the boss of Atomz they were shown the cads of the new bikes for 2009, this will be the Danny Pro Racing model with some nice bits in there for all riders ( Carbon ) we say no more at this time, time was taken to look at many things in the factory and meet all the guys that work there making the bikes for the world of trials.

They now wait for the new 20″ bikes to arrive here in England this next week for them to start the training for the 20″ and 26″ UCI world championships, pics of these bike will be on here as soon as we get them built up, also Danny waits on his new kit for 2008 from Fox all ready for the shows and comps to come………
